Mike Kraus, was born in Vienna in 1973 and now lives with his wife and daugther in Munich. He comes from a long line of artists, including his great-grandfather and grandfather who played music in pubs and at the front line during World War II. His father, Peter Kraus, is the epitome of rock'n'roll in German-speaking countries.

  • Mike studied photography in Florence and then continued his studies at Columbia University, USA. He lived there for four years, where he completed his Bachelor of the Arts with a focus on directing and cinematography. The artistic, versatile creative work was and is the main component and the driving force of his vita. He worked successfully as a documentary filmmaker, cameraman, director, photographer and musician. After his studies he played more than 500 concerts throughout Germany with his compositions, accompanied by his first band.

  • The artist then withdrew from music to focus on his learned profession of photography and film. He directed over 100 TV spots and has photographed numerous stars.

  • From 2023, Mike was driven back to music. The longing to express himself freely and to create something new was so strong and inspired him to find and redefine himself as an artist. Turning to pop music, he developed further and gave the genre his very own touch. He learned perfect aesthetics from scratch in film and advertising and it has always been a part of his creativity. His ambition has always been to create music and lyrics at the highest level and thereby offers a tool that expresses the innermost to connect people with each other - through love.

  • His music and lyrics are the processing of his personal lifes journey. A life that was not only linear, but brought with it a wide range of experiences, successes, disappointments and emotions.

  • In his lyrics, Mike offers solutions and answers. He calls on love itself and each individual not to give up and to walk together side by side, always guided by the only true energy.

  • Mike sees his musical work as an experience description and guide for life, as well as paying homage to his daughter.

Mike Kraus, wurde 1973 in Wien geboren und lebt mit seiner Familie in München. Er stammt aus einer Künstlerfamilie. Bereits sein Urgroßvater und Großvater musizierten in Wirtshäusern und an der Front im 2. Weltkrieg. Sein Vater, Peter Kraus, ist der Inbegriff des Rock’n’Rolls im deutschsprachigen Raum.

  • Mike studierte Fotografie in Florenz und setzte danach sein Studium an der Columbia University (USA) fort, lebte dort vier Jahre und absolvierte seinen `Bachelor of the Arts´ mit dem Schwerpunkt Regie und Kamera. Das künstlerische, vielseitig kreative Schaffen war und ist der Hauptbestandteil und die Triebfeder seiner Vita. Er arbeitete erfolgreich als Dokumentarfilmer, Kameramann, Regisseur, Fotograf und Musiker. Nach seinem Studium spielte er über 500 Konzerte deutschlandweit mit seinen Kompositionen, begleitet von seiner ersten Band.

  • Der Künstler zog sich danach aus der Musik zurück, um den Fokus auf seine erlernte Profession, Fotografie und Film, zu legen. Er realisierte über 100 TV-Spots. Zahlreiche Stars wurden von ihm fotografiert.

  • Ab dem Jahr 2023 trieb es Mike zurück zur Musik. Die Sehnsucht, sich frei auszudrücken und Neues zu schaffen, war so stark und inspirierte ihn, sich als Künstler neu zu finden und zu definieren. Der Popmusik zugewandt, entwickelte er sich weiter und verleiht dem Genre eine ganz eigene Note. Perfektionierte Ästhetik hat er bereits beim Film und in der Werbung von der Pike auf gelernt und war immer ein Bestandteil seiner Kreativität. Seine Ambition war und ist es, Musik und Text auf höchstem Niveau zu schaffen und dadurch ein Werkzeug anzubieten, das das Innerste zum Ausdruck bringt, um Menschen miteinander zu verbinden – durch die Liebe.

  • Seine Musik und Texte sind die Aufarbeitung seiner persönlichen Lebens-Reise. Ein Leben, das nicht nur linear war, sondern eine große Bandbreite an Erfahrungen, Erfolgen, Enttäuschungen und Emotionen mit sich bringt.

  • In seinen Texten bietet Mike Lösungen und Antworten. Er fordert die Liebe selbst sowie jeden Einzelnen auf, sich nicht unterkriegen zu lassen und gemeinsam Seite an Seite zu gehen, immer geleitet von der einzig wahren Energie.

  • Mike sieht sein musikalisches Werk als Erfahrungsbericht und Leitfaden für das Leben, ebenso als Hommage an seine Tochter.
